Franzen Feeders
Previously known as Blue River Cattle Co. was purchased by the Franzen Family in September 2025 after working for the company for seven years. Our focus as a feed lot is in custom cattle feeding and providing locally fed beef to the community at reasonable prices.
Meet the Team
Preston Franzen is the owner and operator of Franzen Feeders along with his wife Megan Franzen. Bryce Franzen and Melany Baxter also work along side the Franzen’s, making this small business a true family affair.
Together this father and son team make up over 50 years of experience in the cattle industry, with both being born into family cattle operations. Originally from the Brady/Gothenburg, NE area, Preston and Bryce moved to Aurora, NE to chase the dream of owning and operating Blue River Cattle Co., now known today as Franzen Feeders. They have worked diligently at creating a helpful and reliable business since joining the team in 2018. Though the name and ownership has changed, we still offer the same great services and more!
